Comments: My family came from Bannack and Dillon. My great-great-grandfather was George D French. George's daughter, Matilda, married my great-grandfather, AJ Schumacher, superintendent of the Parrot Smelter in Butte.
I'm looking forward to visiting Bannack and Dillon again, maybe 2014.

Comments: We have enjoyed a computor study of your area, including Bannack where we will be visiting in September 2013. My wife Peggy's GG Grandfather James Young from Ontario had a sister named Catherine Orr Young who married John Innes who was a gold miner in Bannack and Argenta before settling on a farm north of Dillon. This couple are buried in the Mountain View Cemetery in Dillon. Studing their life in this wonderful area of the USA has been a joy. By the way, John Innes was one of the Vigilantes that were in Bannack and Virginia City and other places.
